Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Earth Angel Reiki looks after your personal information when you visit this website or get in touch, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Earth Angel Reiki is a sole-trader Angelic Reiki practice run by Amy Chapple, based in Barnstaple, Devon. For anything relating to your personal data, including any request or question about this policy, you can reach us at earthangelreiki.ac@gmail.com. We are the “data controller” responsible for your information.
The information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and provide our treatments:
- Enquiry details you send us: when you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, and (if you provide them) your phone number, preferred date or time, the service you’re interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Booking & treatment information: if you go on to book, we may keep notes needed to arrange and safely carry out your session, including any health information you choose to share with us during a consultation (see below).
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working. We do not use any analytics or tracking tools.
Health information
Information about your health is “special category” data and is treated with extra care. We only process it where you choose to share it with us so that we can offer a treatment that is safe and suitable for you, and we rely on your explicit consent to do so. You never have to share more than you’re comfortable with.

We will never sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing unless you have specifically asked us to.
Who we share it with
We keep your information to ourselves as far as possible. We only use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Resend: delivers the contact-form email to us. See their privacy policy.
- Vercel: hosts the website. See their privacy policy.
- Google: provides the web fonts used on the site and, if you choose to load it, the embedded map on our contact section. See Google’s privacy policy. Our Cookie Policy explains how the map is handled.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to (for example, to comply with a court order).
Transfers outside the UK
Some of the providers above are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum or an adequacy decision) so that it receives an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards (normally up to 24 months), then delete them. Records relating to bookings and any financial records are kept for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we’re legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to us using your data, or ask us to transfer it to another provider;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Cookies
We use only essential cookies plus, with your permission, an embedded map. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If a treatment is arranged for someone under 18, it’s done through their parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
Complaints
We’d always like the chance to put things right, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
